Tashi Deleg

If you're ever in the mood for some truly exotic beer, you might consider trying the only place in Amsterdam (and perhaps the country) where you can find genuine Chang - home made Tibetan rice beer. When they first served it to me I thught there had been a mistake since there was no way this milky looking liquid could possibly be beer. It reminded me a bit of saki and I'm not sure I could drink two in a row, but it was interesting to say the least and the food was excellent. If you're in an adventurous mood and want a sit-down dinner, I would recommend this place.

tashi [auspicious] delek [fine]! [= auspicious greetings] = hello!

now that i've [recently] had 'Chang' in someplace in China [yeah well, lots of places in China used to be Tibet! mwahaha] i shall give this Tashi Delek 's [also spelled 'deleg', or 'deleh'. actually pronounced more like 'deleh'] Chang a go. it's no beer though. no carbonation whatsoever at around abv 13%. a little sweet for my taste. it's basically booze
is dat het laatste pilsie van gister of het eerste van vandaag? :D
