Locus Publicus in Delft (not to be confused with the pub of the same name in Rotterdam) is a near-perfect little pub tucked in the Brabantse Turfmarkt shopping square in the center of Delft. The access to the square gives LP a nice spacious outdoor seating area in the summer, although they have a few outdoor tables by the entrance year-round. Inside this brown pub is a long bar receding into the murky depths where the regulars perch, as well as a few tables near the front windows. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, although it's annoying to have to climb over people to get to the toilets -- the pub is quite narrow in the middle.

The beer selection consists of a wide selection of Belgian beers (there look to be over 100 listed on the website, including the elusive Westvleteren), along with some Dutch and other European beers. The draft offerings are rotated periodically and there are usually some beers both good and obscure on tap -- my strategy is to walk down the list and have a glass of every interesting-looking beer, and there are enough beers on tap to make this a very enjoyable pursuit indeed.

Locus Publicus is located at Brabantse Turfmarkt 67 in the center of Delft, south of the Markt and east of the train station.
